VLOG #2: Searching For Growers of a Miracle Tree in Haiti

Moringa, TGD Projects, Vlogs

Believe it or not, but part of my growing efforts actually revolves around growing…TREES! In fact, one of my main projects for the past half year has revolved around a tree called Moringa.

This tree, also called the the Tree of Life and the Miracle Tree, is known for its amazing properties: its leaves are a superfood, the seeds can be used to produce high quality oil, and almost every part of the tree has powerful medicinal properties.

After completing a study (see: Haiti Moringa Study) we have now started to plant this tree in Haiti, where we are helping smallholder farmers reforest their land, and helping them to process this amazing tree for export to the international market.

This video provides some impressions of a recent visit I made to Haiti. I spent a week travelling around the country looking for groups of Haitian farmers that already work with Moringa and that might be able to participate in our project.

The footage and content is still somewhat sketchy, partly because it was filmed without any serious equipment OR me knowing how to shoot and edit film. But hey, we all have to start somewhere right?

Feel free to drop me a line with feedback and Keep Growing!
